Director general of IT for the project Richard Granger contends on the significance of the project, stating that any funding cutbacks would lead to a massive disruption for patients. He also asserts that the initiative offers the development of an electronic prescription and appointment booking system, a patient care records service and an X-ray archiving and electronic transmission system. Despite these problems, he acknowledges 2,250 appointments being booked, 17,250 prescriptions electronically transmitted and 168,950 digital images related to patient care being recorded through the program. << 收起
